Meadowdale Farms offers both group and private lessons for Jumping, Huntseat, and Western Pleasure. We believe our students should have the proper understanding of horsemanship. Our group lessons are 1 hour of saddle time and our private lessons are 45 minuets of saddle time. For our group lessons there is an additional 30 minutes before and after the lesson for catching, grooming, tacking, and general horse care. The horse care is always the responsibility of the student and will be supervised.

Group lessons have no more than 4-5 riders at the similar riding level. Riding in a group lesson provides more ride time as well as getting to learn by example. Private lessons are great for a rider needing more one on one time, working threw a problem, wanting to jump more, and really wanting to take is seriously. We do require private lessons for riders just starting out until they are able to walk and trot by themselves. If you are a true beginner, our first couple of lessons will include tacking up and grooming in our lesson. Please arrive at the start time of your lesson.

We have multiple capable school horses of different levels to make sure our students have safe and educational rides. Our arena is completed with jumps, poles, cones, and other teaching material.

Unless you own or lease, our school horses are limited to 2' for jumping. We include jumping at the 2nd part of our lessons for group lessons after proper flatwork is completed. We set our riders up for success by starting with the basics, and make sure horse and rider are safe and balanced before moving up to the next level. if the arena is too wet for jumping please understand it will be a flatwork only lesson for the safety of everyone.

What you will need:

Meadowdale farms provides all tack and grooming supplies. You MUST have your own helmet (no bike helmets), You must ride in either jeans or riding pants, no sweatpants, and with a boot with low heel, no tennis shoes.

A la Carte Lessons: If you do not want to commit to the same day or time you can pay the non-discounted rate of $100.00. These lessons must be paid upon scheduling and there is no make up lesson allowed. Please note that we cannot guarantee availability for these lessons as our weekly riders take priority.
